Arranged.

the drawings and stuff were amazing but i think that almost everything that was said is purely opinion and gives a bad face to desi marriages in general. for one thing, the only reason why the girl has to look all sad and the guy doesnt is because traditionally, after they are married, the guy takes the girl back to his house so it's not like he's leaving home...only the girl is.

however i don't necessarily agree on arranged marriges and forcing children into marrying whoever the parents want. they can suggest people but its entirely up to the girl and guy to decide. it just seems that i should point out that not all desi marriages are like and this and neither are all arranged marriages.

and not all girls wear teal. there are some things i wish were just common knowledge, but i guess i give the public too much credit.

Salam I liked the skecthes and the work etc...
But the way the women being married was described was so negative.... yes women are better of in their homes.. and having more kids is encouraged...and yes covering is a definite YES....
so whats with the negative attitude?

I'm an American who married into a Pakistani family, and this just totally cracked me up. It is sooooooo true that it's funny. However, you don't have to resort to running away from home. When you find that right guy it's gonna be wonderful... AFTER all those wedding rituals are over, whew! :)
