you're suppose to CHOOSE to do it, not be forced. do you like doing things you're forced to do? even if it is for your own good?

and yes, it's more culturally based. i've noticed islam and culture tends to be intermixed and in some cases, culture comes first. arranged marriages is one of them.

i do agree with your second paragraph, however not everyone is like that. all i had wanted was to finish my degree and focus on that instead of marriage, i wasnt going out partying or checking out guys. marriage is a MAJOR step and needs to have ones full attention. it really screwed me up.

well its a traditional one from pakistani culture. and they tend to call the girls beta(son) anyway, i always found that strange too... lol

but yeah not all are like this, but a good deal are.

Despite what people think your video is soooo true...i've seen arranged marriages like that happen wih my own eyes and i tell you they aint funny.
